1. What theory did Puddleglum have about the strange events in Underworld?

• That Witch has laid a train of magic spells so that whenever she was killed, at that same moment her whole kingdom would fall to pieces. She laid this magic so that whoever killed her would also die five minutes later.

2. Why didn’t the Prince want to put on his armor? What happened to his shield? What did he think it meant?

• He thinks the shield a movable dungeon, and it stinks of magic and slavery. But when he saw his shield, it had turned bright as silver, and on it, redder than blood or cherries was the figure of the Lion. He thought that Aslan will be their good lord, whether he means them to live or die.

3. How does Jill’s attitude toward the horses show about her courage and character?

• She went in without fear between horses and rode it with Prince which clearly shows she became braver and fearless as I was assuming in the previous chapters.

Reflection:

Actually, I was expecting more from the witch but she died so quickly in the previous chapter. I thought she would appear back but the only thing she did was a spell that makes her kingdom falls apart. Then I felt bad for the witch because it seems she has been living a hard life that she assumed she was going to get killed by someone and even sadder she laid magic. I could imagine how many negative thoughts and jealousy she holds in her and I’m just glad she is just a book character. But after all her death made many people happy including the gnomes. I’m also glad that the travelers became best friends even with the prince in that short amount of time.
